Rebate Programs

Members must submit application with relevant information within 120 days of install completion. All WVPA heating and cooling rebates must include the AHRI certificate and load calculations. Members receiving Parke County REMC rebates may be subject to the installation of a load control device.

Electric Water Heaters

To qualify for the bill credit of $50 (50 gal or greater), you must be a member of the REMC, and meet the following requirements:

  • Install an Energy Efficient electric water heater

  • Provide proof of purchase of Energy Efficient electric water heater

  • Must be willing to allow Parke County REMC to install a load management device on the water heater.

Heat Pump (Hybrid) Water Heaters

REMC members are eligible to receive a $200 bill credit. Our power supplier, Wabash Valley Power Alliance (WVPA), also has a $400 rebate for members who install a Heat Pump (Hybrid) Water Heater. Click here to view WVPA's rebate form and requirements.

 
 
Air Source Heat Pumps

REMC members are eligible to receive a $350 bill credit. Our power supplier, Wabash Valley Power Alliance (WVPA), also has a $750 rebate for members who install a 16 SEER, 9 HSPF air source heat pump. Click here to view WVPA's rebate form and requirements.

 

To qualify for the bill credit of $350 (16 SEER or greater) you must meet the following requirements:

  • Provide a copy of the AHRI certificate

  • Provide REMC personnel access to the installed heat pump for an inspection

  • Must be willing to allow Parke County REMC to install a load management device

  • This includes electric and combustion backup (duel fuel)

 
Cold Climate Air Soure Heat Pumps

REMC members are eligible to receive a $500 bill credit. Our power supplier, Wabash Valley Power Alliance (WVPA), also has a $1500 rebate for members who install new equipment that has a HSPF of 9.0 or greater, a SEER of 16 or greater, and a COP of 1.75 or greater at 5 degrees F.  Please see NEEP Heat Pump List for eligible models. To qualify for the bill credit of $500 you must meet the following requirements:

  • Provide a copy of the AHRI certificate

  • Provide REMC personnel access to the installed heat pump for an inspection

  • Must be willing to allow Parke County REMC to install a load management device

  • This includes electric and combustion backup (duel fuel)

*Cold Climate Mini-Split systems qualify for a $200 Bill Credit from Parke County REMC

Geothermal Heat Pumps

REMC members are eligible to receive a $800 bill credit. Our power supplier, Wabash Valley Power Alliance (WVPA), also has a $2000 rebate for a closed loop and $1000 rebate for an open loop for members who install geothermal.

Wi-Fi Thermostat Program

When REMC members enroll in the PowerShift Wi-Fi Thermostat Program, they'll receive $50 now and another $25 at the end of the summer for participating. Please call our Energy Advisor with any questions. Jeremy Montgomery, 765-569-3282

Electric Vehicle Charger

Parke County REMC offers a rebate of $200 in bill credits for the install of an electric vehicle charger when the car is programmed to charge during our off-peak times. Please contact our office at 765-569-3133 Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. for more information.
